We have tried to include on this website as much useful information as possible in a user-friendly, easily-navigable format. Obviously, fishing in Argentina is a rich and many varied thing and we expect you have many more questions you would like to ask. Hopefully after navigating the map and learning more about the country, you have a better idea of the kind of trip you would like to undertake. Perhaps you have your own views on how to go about planning your trip. We advise you to consider a simple 3-step approach.

Step 1 Choose a date
The fishing season in Argentina runs from November to April. The Golden Dorado is fished all year long. Decide what date you would like to come fishing.

Step 2 Choose a location
Decide what type of fishing most appeals to you. Look at the accommodation available. Are you interested in other activities such as wine tasting, hunting, a stay in Buenos Aires? Why not combine a weeks fishing in one region with a week in another area? See SUGGESTED ITINERARY.

Step 3 Contact us
Whether you plan a visit to one lodge or a mixture of different places, Longdrift is here to offer advice, support and to facilitate your trip. We recommend that you contact us as early as possible to ensure your favourite lodges have spaces available.

Your initial enquiry can be as vague as you like: “Dear Longdrift, First two weeks of March, Patagonia...what’s available?” or very detailed, specifying which lodge and what dates you want.
